Frequently Asked Questions
Should my artwork be framed?
Yes please! We would like to display your work in a gallery, and potential bidders will appreciate the frame as well. Frames don't have to be expensive. Be creative!
Can I send you digital copies of my artwork?
While we appreciate you allowing us to use your work, we can not print and frame it for you. We do not have a budget to cover those expenses.
Is there a theme to the show?
We've chosen not to use a specific theme so that artists are free to create whatever they like. We just ask that the images are positive. If you are more comfortable with a topic to work with, please use 'survival' as your theme.
Where do I send my piece?
If you are in Toronto, Ontario we can meet with you to pick it up. Otherwise, email info@artofsurvival.ca for the shipping address.
Can I get a tax receipt for my art donation?
No. Since you are benefiting from free advertising via our website we can not give you a tax receipt.
What happens if the piece I donated doesn't sell?
We will contact you to see if you would like to have the piece returned to you. If you do, you will be responsible for any shipping costs involved. If you do not wish to have your piece back, we will donate it to another show or sell it another way and donate the proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society.
